About

Who I Am

After surviving 25 years in local radio, I now use my writing and presentation skills to do something much more important – to give your loved ones the send off they deserve.

While every funeral service is tinged with sadness because the person you love is no longer with us, it can also be a celebration of their life and everything that they meant to you.

Allow me to be a part of that occasion and, with the help of your Funeral Director, to create a bespoke service for the special person who has passed away.

The cost for my work is included in the fee you pay to the Funeral Director, so just ask for me by name when you are making the arrangements, or contact me directly and I will get in touch with them for you.

How I Help

Ultimately the service is your family service. I’m simply here to advise and guide you and I do as much (or as little) as you need me to.

After a short initial phone call, I will arrange to come and see you in person at a time and place that is convenient to you.

At that meeting, we will discuss everything from the music you would like in the service, to whether you would like any religious content or poetry, to whether any family members would like to speak as part of the service.

I will then go away and write up the service, but it doesn’t mean you can’t still add bits; I don’t finalise anything until you’re happy I have everything that’s needed.

On the day of the service, I meet you at the venue when you arrive with your loved one and I conduct the service that you have helped to plan.
